Elena Moiseenko Lives Today in Gated Community the Villages

In 2013, Elena Moiseenko moved to The Villages in Florida, the fastest-growing U.S. city, according to the US Census, for the second year in a row.  The Villages is part of a master-planned, age-restricted community which stretches across Sumter, Lake and Marion Counties in Florida and is 45 miles northwest of Orlando.   The Villages is a CDD, a Community Development District which is very well-known and one of the fastest growing of retirement communities in Florida.  A Declaration of Restrictions for each neighborhood in the District regulates facets such as landscaping, repair, maintenance, satellite dishes and like operational aspects of life in the neighborhood.  Architectural Review Committees regulate the appearance and consistency of the exteriors of properties in The Villages, inspecting for changes to homes and properties landscaping.

As a semi-retirement community, 80% of residences in the Village must have someone 55 or older residing, while those under 19 may visit for no more than 30 days.  Elena Moiseenko lives today in a community which is gated for security and monitored for clean and responsible lifestyles both on the outside and on the inside.  In many ways Moiseenko lives a lifestyle of safety and security as a reward for her many years working in a high stress, high tech corporate world.  Moiseenko has lived a unique life for a woman: engineer, corporate Vice President and Manager, and comfortable moving in a technological world which most would not understand.  The Villages must seem a relaxing respite from those duties and responsibilities.
